The University at Buffalo is located in Amherst, NY a suburb just north of Buffalo. Buffalo is centrally located within a short drive of many major US and Canadian cities.

Bus
Megabus- Inexpensive (prices ranging from as low as $1/one-way) to and from downtown Buffalo bus terminal and to the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. 

GreyhoundPrices vary, has a larger travel network than Megabus.

  Train  
Amtrak- Buffalo is serviced by two (2) Amtrak stations, both approximately 10 miles from campus. 
  
    Air    
The regional airport is the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport (Airport code: BUF) which includes most major airlines.

 


Parking

GSS 2017 will be hosted in the Natural Sciences Complex. Parking is available in Cooke A lot during the day, no permit is required for our event.

This year we have secured a group rate at the 

We have reserved a block of rooms at a group rate at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara. The rate is $119/night for double occupancy in a double full room. We chose this hotel because it is reasonably priced for our guests and is within walking distance of the symposium.
